Welcome to the brand new website of the 5th Ranger Battalion!
We are a Realism Unit for the game Hell Let Loose. As a Realism Unit we conduct ourselves very differently from a clan. We operate the unit as closely as possible to how a real United States Army unit during World War II functioned. We utilize realistic ranks, a chain of command, we have a comprehensive training program, and there is a high emphasis on team play.

MON, 02 JUNE 2025: Reactivation of the 5th Ranger Battalion Realism Unit!
The 5th Rangers are back in action!
I am proud to announce that the Fifth Ranger Battalion will be reactivating and deploying into Hell Let Loose on 02 JUNE 2025, 22 years after the units original creation and activation into the realism community of Day of Defeat 1.3.
We are looking forward to leading the way into the realism community with veteran and new Rangers, we currently have a fast-track program available to help bolster our ranks during this pre-deployment period. If you were previously a member of the 5th RB, or a retired member of the community and are looking to get back into a professional, authentic and tight-knit unit, now is the best time to enlist.
If you've never been in a Realism Unit before we are looking for dedicated, mature soldiers willing to put time and effort into bettering their skills and strategy for the unit. Get to know us by looking through our website and shoot the breeze with us on our Discord server!
