What is Realism?

The 5th Ranger Battalion is a Realism Unit in the online World War II game, Hell Let Loose. Realism is the conducting of a gaming group who strive to master small unit tactics in a tactical and realistic environment.

 

We base our unit off of the US Army during World War II. The rank system, medals, badges, promotions, and weapons are all accurate to that time period.

 

When you enlist, you start as a Candidate and enter Ranger Candidate Training School, where you are trained and pounded into place by Drill Instructors as they make you "Ranger Material".
